Our Founding
Ray Weathersby is the founder and CEO of inGrafted Inc., a global human resource consulting firm that helps people find their purpose and passion in their careers. He is also a disabled veteran, a former communications officer, and a survivor of a rare eye disease that left him legally blind. His story is one of faith, resilience, and vision.
Ray was born in Chicago in 1975 and grew up in Colorado Springs, CO. He received a football scholarship to attend the United States Air Force Academy and graduated with a B.S. degree in Social Sciences in 1998. He then served as a communications officer in the Air Force for six years, traveling around the world to optimize and standardize network control centers. He was honorably discharged as a Captain in 2004.
During his service, Ray developed keratoconus, a degenerative condition that affects the cornea of the eye. He underwent several surgeries and treatments, but it was God who restored his vision. He had to learn how to live and work by faith, facing many challenges and obstacles along the way.
Ray did not let his disability stop him from pursuing his dreams. He started his own IT company and ran it successfully for 11 years. He then moved to Greensboro, NC and tried different jobs, but none of them gave him the fulfilment he was looking for. He realized that he had a unique perspective and a special type of leadership that could benefit others who were seeking their purpose.
That’s why he founded inGrafted Inc. in 2023. Ingrafted is a qualified HUBzone and Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) that helps clients and candidates align their values, passion, mission, vocation, and profession. Ingrafted has strong social capital and a culture built on faith, integrity, diligence, respect, and zeal. inGrafted is a recruiting and staffing firm that guides people to a purpose delivering innovative, flexible, and quality solutions that create a positive impact on society and culture.
